Tim Moore is a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Community Child Health, Melbourne Children’s Hospital. He leads reviews of research literature on child development, family functioning and public services. In recent years two issues have captured Moore’s attention: the development of the human brain in the first 1,000 days of life; and its implications for our ways of learning.
‘We are wired to relate to others’ finds Moore, an impetus for rebalancing public systems so that more time is spent connecting people to natural supports and less time referring onto services that fix.
